Koponen Homestead is a unique community-based subdivision in Fairbanks, Alaska.  Located above Roland Road off 2 mile Chena Pump Road, about 7 minutes from UAF, the property includes 28 lots of various sizes from 1.8 acres to 3.5 acres out of the ice fog. Lots are a mix of birch, spruce and aspen. Orientation is mostly to the south with many lots having a view, including to the Alaska Range.

Adjacent to the 78 acre development are approximately 50 acres of private trails and natural area to which the parcel owners may have responsible non-motorized access.  Activities include nature walks, running, and skiing in the winter. Use is by permission of the Koponen family.

GVEA electricity is available. Domestic water is by well or holding tank. Neighbors report good water at low depths with plenty of supply, but there are of course with wells, no guarantees.  Septic is on-site.

Covenants encourage activities compatible with the natural area and that offer courtesy to Koponen Homestead neighbors.

All parcels at this time have been sold.
